
Due to Covid-19, the following restrictions are in place in Belfast Trust outpatients departments:
- Contact the outpatients department for advice before setting out on your journey to your appointment if you have:

- any symptoms of Covid-19 such as,
- Recent onset of a new continuous cough;
- Or high temperature;
- Or a loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste of smell (Anosmia).
- been told you have tested positive for Covid-19
- a member in your household who has symptoms of Covid-19 or tested positive for Covid-19
- been told to self-isolate by the Track and trace service or received a notification from the StopCovidNI app to self-isolate
- Have had recent travel, which would require isolation as per the current DOH guidance.
- any symptoms of Covid-19 such as,
- Even if you are fully vaccinated, if you have been identified as a close contact, you are advised not to visit hospitals for 10 days per NI Direct advice.
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water or alcohol hand sanitiser when entering any healthcare setting and before you leave. It is also good practice to use alcohol hand sanitiser regularly throughout the appointment.
- Patients attending the Outpatient Department should attend alone, however can be accompanied by one person, if there are carer needs. Waiting space is extremely limited in the department.
- Please stick to your appointment time and do not arrive early.
- Observe social distancing when attending your appointment.
- Due to COVID-19, all patients and visitors are required to wear face coverings on Belfast Trust sites.
