Restart of Regional Fertility Centre services

The Regional Fertility Centre (RFC) phone lines (028 9615 9600) are open from 9.30am to 12.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Oncology referrers should contact the centre via the email provided on the website.

Update: 2 October 2020

The changed service activity is monitored and reviewed by the Regional Fertility Centre management team every fortnight. This is to ensure services are being provided safely and to establish the processes to sustain Regional Fertility Centre outpatient and treatment services going forward. Unfortunately, we have not reached the point where we can give patients estimated waiting times for their outpatient or treatment appointments.

We are continuing to contact all NHS and private patients who were in treatment when cancelled due to Covid-19.

We will make direct contact with individual patients prior to arranging treatment. The Trust appointments department will contact patients in writing when an outpatient appointment is arranged.

Treatment waiting lists

As we continue to rearrange treatment for patients who had a treatment cancelled due to Covid-19, we are unable to provide information on the waiting times for patients on a treatment waiting list.

New and review patient appointments

Unfortunately, we cannot give an estimated waiting time for anyone waiting for their first outpatient appointment or review appointment.

Private treatment

After the cancelled treatments for NHS and private patients have been rearranged, there will be a limited private service. There is a waiting list of patients who have expressed an interest in private treatment and patients will be contacted directly when this service is available.  Unfortunately, we are unable to give an estimated waiting time for private treatment.

Self-referrals are not accepted for private treatment.

Diagnostic semen analysis

This service is restarting on 16 October 2020. Patients who had an appointment cancelled will be contacted directly with a new appointment.

When all cancelled appointments have been rearranged, new requests received for diagnostic semen analysis will be processed in chronological order / order of date received.

We thank all patients waiting for upcoming appointments or treatment for your continued patience while this new level of service and processes are established.

Care and support

The Care and support section has information about support available from the counselling service and Fertility Network UK.
