This Is Our Health

A new relationship between people and the health care system

This is our health is designed to reshape how people and the health system work together.

It focuses on how people manage their health day to day and what they are willing to do differently in practice. It recognises that most of what shapes our health happens in everyday settings, like at home, with family and in our communities, not just when we use health and care services.

Launched by the Health Minister Mike Nesbitt, the new engagement programme aims to establish an agreed “health and care deal” between Northern Ireland citizens and Health and Social Care.

It will identify what people need most from the health service and the part they can play in making those services work better.

You can take part in whichever way works best for you.

Take part online

This is the quickest and easiest way to get involved.

The online experience:

  • asks the same core questions as the in-person sessions
  • is designed to be simple and accessible
  • can be completed anonymously
  • takes a short amount of time

You can take part at a time that suits you, using your own device.

Meet us in person

You can take part in ‘This is our health’ by joining one of our in-person events happening across the Trust.

In-person sessions are designed to be informal and accessible, using a mix of conversation and hands-on tools to make it easy to share your views.
