Shopmobility Belfast helps patients and visitors with restricted mobility. It provides electric scooters and wheelchairs to help people get around the Royal Hospitals site. Staff will meet and greet patients and visitors who require the service.

Shopmobility is a free service and available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. To use the service, you must register to become a member. This is a simple process (see below).
You are advised to book the Shopmobility service in advance. A telephone number and email address is provided below.
Staff will try to accommodate anyone who doesn’t book in advance, but we cannot guarantee there will be any scooters or wheelchairs available.
Royal Hospitals site
The Shopmobility service on the Royal Hospitals site is located near the parking spaces for blue badge holders on the ground level of the main visitors’ car park.
There is a route to the main hospital from the Shopmobility unit. From there, a tunnel corridor accesses the hospital. At the end of the tunnel corridor, there is a lift to the main entrance of the hospital.

Become a Shopmobility member
You can register as a Shopmobility member on your first visit to any of our indoor locations. It will take about 15 minutes to register and you must renew your membership each year.
