The Northern Ireland Cancer Centre
The Northern Ireland Cancer Centre treats cancer patients from all over Northern Ireland.
The Cancer Centre is located on the Belfast City Hospital site, adjacent to the main hospital building.
Services provided at the Cancer Centre
You usually receive chemotherapy as an outpatient rather than being admitted to hospital. You may be asked to attend ward 3A in the Cancer Centre or the Bridgewater Suite in Belfast City Hospital Tower.
Chemotherapy can also be given to inpatients in the Cancer Centre or on the haematology ward in the Tower.
Radiotherapy and brachytherapy
You may receive radiotherapy or brachytherapy as an outpatient or inpatient.
Friends of the Cancer Centre
Friends of the Cancer Centre is the charity affiliated to the Cancer Centre.
It has one clear objective – to make a real and meaningful difference to thousands of cancer patients and their families across Northern Ireland.
