Suffolk Day Centre is located in West Belfast which was opened in September 1979. It provides care for Adults with Learning Disabilities in the Belfast area. The building itself is a split over two levels with a lift to access the second floor.
At Suffolk we provide care where each individual can feel valued and in keeping with the policies of the Belfast Trust, enjoy activities of their choice delivered by staff who will treat them with dignity and respect.
Service Users are supported to participate in the creation of their Person Centred Plan which enables their care to be individualised providing a more holistic approach to care.
We are very proud to have established longstanding links with our local schools and community groups. The use of community settings e.g. libraries, colleges and leisure services is encouraged to increase the range of choices which contribute to a structured plan providing a wider choice of activities.
All Service Users are encouraged to have their voice heard through the Service User Forums and this is supported through consultations and group meetings.
Suffolk Day Centre is registered with RQIA and are subject to annual inspections and all staff must be NISCC registered.
