The Community Mental Health Resource Centre brings together a range of community mental health services. The facility provides assessment, treatment and care for mentally ill service users in our community.
The mental health services approach is underpinned by the ethos of “recovery” and is person centred and holistic. Service users can avail of timely, accessible and high quality assessments. The following teams are based at Old See House;
- North Belfast Community Mental Health Teams
- Belfast Trust Acute Day Treatment Service
- Belfast Trust Self Harm and Personality Disorder Service
- Some Psychiatric Outpatient Clinics
- Belfast Trust Home Treatment House
Mental health services within the centre encompass a collaborative ethos of delivering a “whole system” approach to care. It includes a close working relationships with GPs and other Belfast Trust Mental Health Services taking full account of service users’ carer and support needs and those of their family.
Accessing services based at Old See House
Referrals to these services usually come from your GP although some clients will be referred post discharge from our inpatient facilities. All new referrals come via the One Point of Referral based at Woodstock Lodge.
