This is a summary of the usual process and timeline when applying for a job with us.


  • Submit your application online

    Timeline
    Complete and submit your application by the stated closing date and time. Late applications will not be accepted.

    Be sure to answer all questions as these will be used to shortlist people for interview. If your application form is not complete, we will be unable to consider you for shortlisting.

    Advertised posts are normally open for applications for two weeks, although this may vary.
  • Shortlisting
    After the closing date for applications, shortlisting is normally done within two working weeks.

    When shortlisting is complete, we will let you know the outcome. We normally contact you by email and / or text message. We recommend that you regularly check your emails, including your ‘Junk mail’ folder.

  • Selection
    All shortlisted applicants will be invited to a selection process. This normally includes at least one interview. It may also include at least one assessment, depending on the job you are applying for.

    Sometimes you may need to phone for an appointment, so please check your emails, text messages and voicemails on a regular basis.

    We will let you know in advance how the selection process will work. We recommend that you regularly check your emails, including your ‘Junk mail’ folder.

    The selection process is normally carried out within three weeks of shortlisting being completed.
  • Decision
    When you have completed the selection process, we will let you know the outcome. The decision is normally agreed within one week of the assessment process being completed.
  • Pre-employment checks
    We need to carry out some checks on the successful applicant before they can start their job with us.

    We will give you details on these pre-employment checks in the letter that has your job offer.

    Pre-employment checks can take up to six weeks to complete.
  • Start date

    When we have completed all the pre-employment checks, we will contact you to agree a start date for your new job.


Waiting lists

Sometimes we will create waiting lists when we know similar job opportunities are likely to become available in the near future.

We will let you know if you have been placed on a waiting list. If you change your contact details, please let us know. It is very important that we have your correct contact details.
