This section contains general information that relates to all our hospitals and facilities.
Chaplaincy service
Illness of any kind can be a very worrying and isolating experience – for patients and their family too. Working in such an environment can also be difficult at times for staff. Whatever your faith, belief or cultural background, you can request support from the hospital chaplaincy service.
Complementary guest Wi-Fi
We offer complementary guest Wi-Fi to our patients, service users, staff and visitors in a number of hospital and community locations.
Hospital Travel Costs Scheme
You may be entitled to reclaim travel expenses for hospital treatment through the Hospital Travel Costs Scheme.
Infection prevention and control
Everyone coming into our hospitals has a part to play in infection prevention and control.
You can also download this Public Health Agency leaflet on preventing food poisoning.
Interpreting service
If a patient comes into hospital who does not speak English as a first or competent second language, staff will contact the regional interpreting service to arrange a face-to-face interpreter.
Shopmobility
Shopmobility Belfast helps patients and visitors with restricted mobility. It provides electric scooters and wheelchairs to help people get around the Royal Hospitals and Belfast City Hospital sites.
