Aims of facility
The mission of Ballyowen Day Centre is to deliver a range of services which empower and support people over the age of 65 years towards continued community inclusion and promoting independence.
Ballyowen Day Centre is registered to provide a maximum of 45 day support places for adults over the age of 65 years.
There are a range of services and activities provided at Ballyowen Day Centre. These services include occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy and music therapy. These are offered if need is assessed by the relevant professional.
There are a variety of outreach activities at Ballyowen Day Centre; these include going to local shopping areas, mystery bus tours and lunch groups to various venues.
The centre also has a quiet room that offers an opportunity for service users to relax in a settled and quiet environment.
