What the service does
The Amputee Rehabilitation Centre is based in the Regional Disablement Service at Musgrave Park Hospital. It is the regional centre for the assessment of patients who have had amputations or were born with absence of an arm or leg.
We offer an outpatient service and also an inpatient service with eight available beds. The amputee ward is based in Withers 1B at Musgrave Park Hospital. It is staffed by nurses with experience of caring for patients who have had an amputation.
All patients with major lower and upper limb loss should be referred to the Amputee Rehabilitation Centre.
