What the service does
The Crisis Assessment and Intervention Team (CAIT) provides an assessment, treatment and support service for children and young people who are in danger or distress because of mental ill health.
We also provide support for the families and carers of the children and young people we help.
How to access the service
Any of the following can refer a child or young person to the Crisis Assessment and Intervention Team:
- GP
- other team within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
- hospital service, for example Emergency Department
- children’s services
- community or voluntary organisation
- charity
Location of service
The Crisis Assessment and Intervention Team is based at Beechcroft.
