What the service does
We provide assessment, treatment and interventions for young people (and their families) experiencing a first episode of psychotic illness.
We help young people:
- get back to their normal routine
- stay in education or employment
- learn about the symptoms of their condition
- manage their symptoms
- build confidence through group activities and social networking
Who provides the service
The Early Intervention Team is made up of:
- medical and nursing staff
- occupational therapists
- social workers
- psychologists
How to access the service
We accept referrals from:
- acute mental health services (usually through a GP)
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
