What the service does
The Eating Disorder Youth Service (EDYS) is a specialist team that works in the community. We treat young people aged 10 to 18 years with eating disorders and other eating difficulties, for example:
- anorexia nervosa
- bulimia
- binge eating disorder
- irregular eating patterns
How to access the service
Any of the following people or services can refer a young person to the Eating Disorder Youth Service:
- GP
- other team within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
- specialist nurse
- hospital service, for example Emergency Department
Location of service
The Eating Disorder Youth Service is based at Beechcroft.
Opening hours
- Monday from 9am to 5pm
- Tuesday from 9am to 9pm
- Wednesday to Friday from 9am to 5pm
