These services are based at Knockbracken and treat people with enduring mental health problems who require a longer period of time to regain their mental health.
Regional Forensic Unit (Shannon Clinic)
Shannon Clinic is the only medium secure unit in Northern Ireland. It provides regional forensic inpatient services for people with mental illness who require intensive psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation in a structured, secure and therapeutic environment.
Locked rehabilitation (Clare Ward)
Clare Ward provides a service for people with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder who are detained under the Mental Health Order (1986) and who require rehabilitation due to treatment resistance and additional illnesses (comorbidities).
Neuro Rehabilitation Unit (Innishfree)
This is a brain injury support service that treats and cares for patients who have an acquired brain injury and enduring mental health problems.
