What the service does

The osteoporosis service focuses on people at risk of a fracture or other conditions caused by low bone density.

We aim to prevent fractures and poor health by identifying, treating and giving advice to people with osteoporosis.

How to access the service

If you have experienced a low impact trauma, you may be referred to the osteoporosis service to have your bone density checked.

If you have a bone density that indicates you have osteoporosis, you may be treated or given lifestyle and dietary advice by a team of specially trained nurses and doctors.

You may also be referred directly to the osteoporosis service by your GP.
