The Quality Assurance Team was established to monitor the quality of the Trust’s commissioned services in the independent sector. This includes homecare, residential and nursing home care provided by the voluntary and private sector. The Team supports independent sector provides through education and training with the involvement of Clinical Nurse Co-ordinators as well as monitoring the standards of care provided.
The Team collates information on incidents and complaints and monitors trends. It also works closely with the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority to ensure consistent standards of care apply to all services.
