Who we are

The Child and Adolescent Autism Service (CAAS) is an assessment and intervention service for children and young people up to the age of 18 years, where concerns about autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have been identified.

Our team includes the following professions:

  • psychology
  • paediatrics
  • occupational therapy
  • speech and language therapy
  • social work
  • child development

What we do

We offer an ASD assessment and diagnostic service for children and young people. We also provide support for children, young people and their families following an autism diagnosis.

We take a multidisciplinary approach to understanding presentations of children and young people who may, or may not, have autism. Our service also works in partnership with community and voluntary organisations to provide a range of support.

Before your child / young person’s autism assessment, please download and read our leaflets on what to expect from our service:

Online help for parents and carers
