What the service does

The Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service provides early intervention and prevention, and therapeutic supports for families. This support is needs based, rather than diagnostically based. Many of the young people we work with are awaiting Autism Spectrum Disorder or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder assessment. We also aim to offer support for young people through transitions and to work closely with community and voluntary services.

Why do people use the service?

  • Practical support in areas of need:
    • Toileting
    • Sleep
    • Feeding
    • Parenting support
    • Emotional wellbeing (emotional development, emotional regulation and anxiety)
  • Support developing positive relationships with your child and understanding your child’s development
  • Access to information and guidance

Service aim/mission

  • Needs based support
  • Early intervention
  • Create and maintain a strong presence in the community through Family Support Hubs, voluntary organizations and statutory organizations.
  • Accessible to families
