Carer Identification Card

Carer Identification CardsIn recognition of the contribution that carers make to the Belfast Trust, a new Carers Identification Card has been developed. This was created following the positive feedback received from Carers in relation to the Carer COVID Identity Card developed at the beginning of the pandemic.

While restrictions have now eased, we want to continue to recognise Carers and the contribution you make to families and communities.

Concessions and Discounts for Carers in NI

The Carers’ Service have developed a booklet to inform carers of concessions and discounts that may be available across Belfast and NI.

Some visitor attractions and leisure facilities offer discounts to both carers and the cared for person. You may be asked for evidence of your caring role which should be dated within the last 12 months. We recommend that you contact the venue that you wish to visit before booking to ensure that you have the necessary documentation to hand on entry.

The Belfast Trust Carer ID card (which must be re-applied for annually) may assist entry to a variety of places, as evidence of your current carer status. We recommend that you carry it with you when out and about to assist other forms of ID that might be required when booking in to visitor attractions.

Find out more and complete a form to apply for a card.

Any queries regarding access to a venue should be made straight to the organisation.
