A packed room of friends and colleagues listened to Health Minister Edwin Poots as he wished Colm and Roisin well as they move onto the next stage in their lives.
He thanked Colm for all ‘his good work and appreciated his wisdom and knowledge throughout his time as Chief Executive.’
Colm has worked for the health service for 22 years and has been Chief Executive of Belfast Trust since October 2010.
Chairman Mr Peter McNaney, CBE paid tribute to Colm saying ‘he had a steadfast belief in the ability of his staff to deliver the best possible care and this was evidenced by the many achievements of the Trust’. On behalf of Executive Team and the Non Executive Directors he wished him all the very best for a successful and fulfilling position in England.
Paying tribute to staff Colm said that ‘it has been a privilege to lead the organisation and work with staff who are highly committed and motivated and among the most talented people delivering healthcare in Northern Ireland and I sincerely wish you well for the future’.
As Colm leaves Northern Ireland we wish him well for a successful and fulfilling position in England.
Director of HR Marie Mallon takes up the role of Acting Chief Executive until her retirement at the end of this month.
