Belfast Trust colleagues were named winners at the prestigious Royal College of Nursing Awards.
The awards were live streamed on Tuesday 12 October 2021, with host Kate Garraway, and special guests Emilia Clarke, Joanne Bosanquet, and Pat Cullen.
Belfast Trust was represented with four nominees picking up five awards on the night.
Our Awards winners were:
- Nicola Bailey, RCN Nurse Of The Year Award
- NISTAR Team, Child Health Award
- Nicola Bailey, Innovations In Your Specialty Award
- Mairead Ryan, Nursing Student Award
- Noel McDonald, Special Recognition Award
Brenda Creaney, Executive Director of Nursing and User Experience at Belfast Trust, said she is immensely proud of the Belfast Trust staff who took home RCN Nursing Awards this year.
“Their dedication to the care of patients, service users and colleagues never diminished amid the unrelenting presence of the Covid-19 global pandemic.
“They have time and time again brought innovation and demonstrated leadership, in spite of the extreme pressures our nursing teams have been experiencing over the past while. I wish them continued success for the future.”
