Belfast Trust colleagues were named winners at the prestigious Royal College of Midwives Awards. The awards took place in London on Wednesday 27th October, with host Myleene Klass.
Belfast Trust was represented with six nominees picking up four awards on the night.
Our award winners are:
- Susanne Thomas, Midwives’ Midwife of the Year – Northern Ireland
- Zoe Meneilly, Members’ Champion Award
- Susanne Thomas and Patrice McKenna, Excellence in Midwifery Education, Learning & Research
- Lisa Darrah and Sinead McFarlane (SWAN Team), Team of the Year
Brenda Kelly, Head of Midwifery said,
“I am so proud of all our individual winners and for their contribution to a very high performing maternity service which has now been recognised on a UK platform.
This success achieved behalf of the whole maternity multi-disciplinary team is all the more significant against the backdrop of the pandemic and all the challenges it has presented the team with. It is a very proud day for Belfast Trust Royal Jubilee Maternity Services.”
