The office of Care and Protection will be providing information on Enduring power of attorney and controllership applications that may support you in planning for the future.

Prevention and Management of Back Pain – Learning Disability Services

Tuesday 21/6/22 @10.30 – 11.30 am

This session presented by the Physiotherapists working with the Adult Learning Disability team will cover advice on how to look after your back, and how to prevent back strain. There will also be advice on how to identify poor posture in an adult that you support, particularly if they are a wheelchair user.

The presentation will consider:

  • How important is exercise in preventing and managing back pain?
  • Can posture cause / affect back pain?
  • Would you recognise poor posture in an adult that you support?
