Factors impacting users of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust adopting more sustainable approaches to travel.
The majority of patients and visitors travel to/from Belfast Trust sites using their cars as the preferred mode of transport. The Belfast Trust wants to encourage patients, visitors and staff to adopt more sustainable travel options (bus, train, park n ride, walking etc.) for a healthier population, and to ease congestion on some of the busier Trust sites if this is possible. We are however mindful that patients and visitors have a number of reasons that may impact sustainable travel choices and why use of a car is necessary.
This survey is to identify the factors impacting travel choices for patients and visitors travelling to Belfast Health and Social Care Trust sites. The information gathered will be used so the Trust’s Travel Planning Team can work alongside key internal and external stakeholders to promote and encourage behaviour change in relation to travel choices based on survey feedback.
