The Belfast Trust involvement team hosted their first Involvement Celebration event in Belfast City Hall on the 9th June 2023. The event was a chance for the Trust to say thank you to all those who are involved in helping us to design and deliver better services.

Over a hundred people attended the event representing a wide range of services from Belfast Trust.

The event was introduced by Bryan Nelson, Co Director for Public Health, with key speakers including Alistair Campbell, Director for Performance, Planning and Informatics and Anne O’Reilly, former Non-Executive Director for Involvement and Carers in Belfast Trust.

Artist in residence, Beth McComish attended the celebration event creating artwork with participants that will be installed in a Trust building later in the year for everyone to see. The art instillation will support involvement across the Trust providing a focal point for Personal and Public Involvement information. The artwork was created by all those participating in the event.

At the celebration participants were asked for their thoughts on being involved in Belfast Trust.

  1. What supports you to be involved?
  2. What does involvement in Belfast Trust mean to you?
  3. How do we grow involvement?

The feedback from these questions will help the involvement team and wider Trust teams to continue to improve involvement and make it as inclusive as possible.
