15th November 2022

Ahead of Carers Rights Day (24 November 2022) the Belfast Trust Carers Support Service is inviting family and unpaid carers to ensure they aware of all the benefits, services and supports they are entitled to.
Anne Murphy, from the Carers Support Service said:
“New research published by Carers Rights UK indicates that 71% of unpaid carers in NI are worried about living costs and whether they will be able to manage in the future. We support hundreds of carers across the Belfast area, and we know that having the right information, at the right time, can make all the difference when you’re looking after someone. We have teamed up with the Department of the Communities’ ‘Make the Call’ team to provide two online information sessions on Thursday 24th November – Carers Rights Day. A Benefits Advisor from the team will provide information and check if you are entitled to any other supports. I would like to encourage all carers – especially anyone who has recently taken on new caring responsibilities – to register online for this information session and if you are not known to our service please register here and find out how we can support you”
The sessions will take place at 10.30am and 2.30pm and all carers or people with caring responsibilities are welcome to join. Pre-registration is essential. Please register by completing this short form
